John McCain Fancies Self As Latter Day Kurt Cobain

At least that what we must assume since he has, much to Gave Grohl's chagrin, taken to playing the Foo Fighters song, MY HERO at campain stops across the country. Apparently musicians have no recourse should a politician they have wildly different political views from take to playing their songs at campaign rallies. We found this out this year because McCain has been asked by about ten musicians to stop playing their songs and have all been rebuffed.


Except in this case the joke is on McCain as the song he is traipsing around to is not about what he thinks it is about. Grohl on several ocassions has said that MY HERO was written about Kurt Cobain and his admiration of his talent. So essentially McCain is likening himself to a drug addled dead rock star who if alive today would no doubt be railing against people like John McCain.

At least you have to give McCain credit for his work with the mentally challenged as that is clearly who he ia allowing to run his campaign.
